UCCS Controversy

During the academic year of 2008-2009 David Williams was the Student Body President of the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. For nearly nine months David was the subject of ridicule because of his refusal to endorse a gay and lesbian club’s yearly pro-gay event. There were several attempts to remove him from office and discredit his name. But with the help of the Alliance Defense Fund, the American Center for Law and Justice, Focus on the Family and many people within the community, David was finally able to secure his first amendment rights in June 2009. Below are several links that can provide additional information. Feel free to also search Google for any more relevant articles.
